Yay I choreographed this Stage ART!  A 40 ft collaboration with a few artists…. Emily Harris, Zach Lang, and Gabrielle Mills…… We sat down together and came up with the concept together….. we wanted to be visionary and our main objective was to worship the sun and moon, thank you God, mother Earth and the Universe for everything that we have.  LOVe.

Evolve had its first ArtShow ever, we raised money for the Lyell Cook Scholarship Fund.  A lot of Evolvers brought art to show, and many of them sold work.  I am extremely happy about this and cannot wait until we can have another @ Sunseekers Ball in Chance Harbor, New Brunswick at the end of the month.  

MISSION STATEMENT FOR The Fredericton Childcare Collective is to provide free childcare at functions addressing issues of social justice when childcare would not otherwise be available. We recognize the influence of childcare accessibility on a parent, guardian or chaperone who wishes to begin or sustain involvement in grassroots community groups with a social justice mandate. The FCC aims to give those responsible for caring for children equal opportunity to participate in social justice groups while having the children for whom they are responsible well-looked after.    The FCC sees the value of exposing children to and involving them in community projects by sharing space, being present at meetings and functions, and participating in age-appropriate ways. We are committed to the provision of fun and safe childcare that avoids restrictive gender roles; oppressive or violent books and toys; patterns of consumption that are wasteful and/or unhealthy; and activities and foods that are culturally unsuitable or insensitive.  The FCC does not discriminate against childcare-givers based on gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, creed, age or ability, but instead based on their enjoyment in working with children, capacity to create a safe environment for children, and desire to contribute to the inclusivity of community activities.In addition to providing free childcare, we recognize the need for advocacy in the arena of childcare issues and consider this to be part of our mission. In cases where publicly or privately funded daycare centres are reluctant to voice their opinions on political childcare questions, due primarily to financial conflicts of interest, the FCC is capable of expressing its views and is open to political action when deemed appropriate.The FCC recognizes that effective social movements and organizations require the participation of childcare-givers and children. We aim to facilitate said involvement, which  allows community social justice groups to allocate their resources to the task at hand.
